--Invitation to the Tamade Church--

  Welcome to our web site! Are you looking for a church around here in Tamade? That's us! We the Tamade Church are a congregation belonging to Japan's largest Protestant denomination, the United Church of Christ in Japan (Nihon Kirisuto Kyodan), which has ecumenical partnership with the Taiwan Presbyterian Church.

  Please visit us on Sunday. Our sanctuary is located close to Kishinosato-Tamade station on the Nankai Honsen Line. (See http://www.tamadech.jp/access.html. or below) The worship service begins at 10:15am and closes 11:45am.

  Though we do not have an English worship service, we provide a weekly bulletin and a sermon summary in English. Traditional organ music will lead your hearts toward God in the highest heaven. We also celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday partially in English. Please join us in the Lord's Supper, if you are baptized in the faith of triune God and have a full membership in Christ's church. Anyone who would like to worship the true and only God, Jesus Christ the crucified and risen Savior or who is just interested in Jesus and the Bible will be welcome. After the worship service we have a short tea time, sharing and encouraging one another.

  Pastor Rev. Ms. Koike and several other members speak English. There are some who speak Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, German, and Spanish as well.

○Trivia about us

・Originally Tamade Christian Church was founded by Mr. & Mrs. M.B. Madden, American Disciples missionaries, in 1914. Since then we have been proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ more than a hundred years here in Tamade, Osaka.
・We are proud of our quiet, beautiful garden where you can enjoy the flowers of each season: cherry blossoms in spring, dancing butterflies, birds singing, and colorful fruits such as summer oranges, persimmons, and grapes.
